RE MFN,

Lance Lewis just made essentially the same comment in his evening missive (below) as I did in my previous post. Given the fact that it's going to print money (not quite at the same rate as the Fed -g-), MFN is getting ready to rock.

MFN fell 2 percent for no particular reason either. As discussed in its Q3 10Q, MFN filed a shelf prospectus after the close on Friday to sell equity if by chance it “needs to”. But it remains to be seen whether MFN will need to issue equity or not, and even if it does, the dilution is only likely to be around 10 percent, which is already more than discounted into the stock (although that’s true for nearly all the gold miners of course). If, however, MFN’s operations continue to ramp up as expected, and gold and silver prices continue to rally through year-end, MFN should be able to fund operations through the combination of operating cash flow and its remaining debt facilities. And based on the rally that began in gold last week, the odds seem fairly high for just such a resolution.
