The new generation of PCs are much better suited to handle video. A big improvement over the 5 year old technology. Also, buying a new PC is a good way for a business to become more efficient in these tight times.

A19: Congrats to A17 and his ability to build a custom computer - it's a great challenge and he can provide you with a much more powerful machine at a better price...My latest pickup has been a slightly used IBM ThinkPad T42 Laptop -- I bought it from a friend of a friend and got a really great deal...I needed another laptop and for less than $400 I got a fully loaded machine with Windows XP, lots of memory and storage, MSFT Office, a deluxe Norton antivirus package, wireless, etc...this is a laptop that was used that came off a 2 year lease by a global management consulting firm based in Chicago -- their IT Managers got the chance to buy a few of the ThinkPads for "friends and family" (and some of them got sold -- don't tell anyone <G>).
