I actually think that this is all going to work out ok, in the bigger picture. That does not mean that if you have common stock in Some of these companies such as Citi, that you are going to get anything for it. Big Deal.

it's not that much different to having call options that expire worthless. We've taken our hits, put liquidity in the system, lowered rates..... used quantitative easing to expand the monetary base. Countries such as the UK, Switzerland, The Euroland countries, the pac rim, China are all doing these things. The Questionable assets are being quarantined, just like your virus software does on your PC.

It certainly does not mean that we magical bounce back to instant prosperity, but this will give us a chance to go back to our day to day business and let the system mend. And we'll have a respectable positive tailwind of reflation and inflation to move prices over upward over the next 2 to 4 years.
