yes, we tax food. all food. how regressive can you get? and is it unusual? I figured it must be if we have to take measures to change it. the black dems have been trying to for a couple of decades, at least. and sales tax is 8%, so if I buy 80 dollars of food, I have to pay 88 dollars. hard on those with less. yet our property taxes? super cheap. the large landowners, including the out-of-state owners of most our land (most of alabama is owned by out-of-staters) fight any attempt to change that.

and

Not to worry......the rest of us have no interest in becoming Down Home Alabama. ;-)

gooooood. I've heard this bad possible 'meme' (still don't understand what the heck that means) starting about Alabama. freaky we getting mentioned so much re the car companies. but... it could be an opportunity to push us forward, and those states and areas like us (an area being inner-city, we are more alike than different, imo)... as something to be like. To me it just draws the line about what the HP stupid woman wants... a stupid and poor mass to manipulate.

btw - it's Sweet Home Alabma

youtube.com

Leningrad Cowboys & Red Army Choir - SWEET HOME ALABAMA

this is trippy - it's the Red Army Choir (that be Russia) in uniform backing up a freaky group that looks like something out of 80's America.

for the more original

youtube.com

but I love Neil Young.
