It isn't management deciding to build cars no one buys as you continue to state, the solution isn't to sell more cars, they already are at the top of the heap in sales.

No, it remains the mountain of debt the unions have created that are bankrupting the American automakers.

If the US had national health care insurance, the cost basis would change dramatically. Do you think the Japanese and Germans don't have other social benefits for their workers?

It's really weird the way you guys are promoting overseas companies for their great capitalist systems (you usually call them socialist) and running down the US for for being too labor friendly.

Bottom line is Euro and Japanese companies don't need as many company paid benefits because the government provides those benefits. So their companies are more competitive.

In your list, there are 2 American trucks in the top ten and 5 cars and one truck in the next ten. That means that 13 of the top twenty are foreign makes.......made by non American companies. And you think that's good? GM mgmt probably thinks just like you do.

And let me just add.....for years now, the way the big three have sold cars is to offer 0 financing and employee discounts to off the street customers. Do you think they're making much money on those cars.....if anything? Probably not.....and that is what contributes most to their deficits. And let me remind you......there are tons of new cars sitting in Detroit parking lots because they can't give them away. What does that tell you?

Why don't use your head before defending those that shouldn't be defended.

Seems quality would be an employee problem, not management, a problem that unions are responsible for...

You don't know what you are talking about. Quality is a management issue...
