His foreign policy and defense team have zero antiwar folks so far. You'd better decide you like that too.

Thus far, Barry has done well, IMO.

I say that ONLY because he hasn't done a damned thing he promised in his primary campaign. By hiring Hillary, he made the best choice one could have imagined (I really was expecting a Madelyn Albright incompetent, and I don't think Hillary is THAT) and keeping Gates, who is extremely good at what he does -- these are both good moves.

I do have concerns about him -- the AG appointment was an insane choice; he may as well have put Charles Manson in charge of DOJ. And limiting access with Rahm Emanuel is not good a decision IMO.

Of course, what matters ultimately is how he governs. If he governs like a center-left president, I don't think I'll have any complaint with him. But if he installs extreme leftists as judges and starts cutting the military budget, it will signal to me that the appointments were just window dressing.
