Reinstate the Fairness Doctrine
Regarding the Nov. 25 Opinion piece, "Liberals, too, should reject the Fairness Doctrine": I must strongly disagree with the premise of this commentary. The fundamental basis of it is that reinstating the Fairness Doctrine would stifle coverage of opposing points of view on radio, and that the current system, in which there is only one point of view espoused, should be maintained.

To be blunt, this is nonsense. When the Fairness Doctrine existed, we had some of the most robust debate that ever took place in this country. It appears to me that conservatives are simply afraid that their arguments and ideas will not be able to withstand the scrutiny of fair debate.

The Fairness Doctrine will make us a better country and allow large numbers of our citizens to make more informed decisions. If the right wing believes its position to be honest, it should not fear debate. We are a strong country; we can take honest conversation.

All the guy does is represent Israel on the (D) side of the Senate. I have no idea what the people that elect him are thinking. I'd expect a STRONG primary challenge in 2012, backed by the entire (D) establishment.

>>> And your career is going to end come 2012.......you scumbag benedict arnold.

Benedict Arnold? WTF? For having the good sense to know that you don't install a president who has no experience, whatsoever, to qualify him the job?

No, for taking the side of a crotchety old man who is brain dead and would have finished the destruction started by Bush.

I lost all respect for Lieberman when he refused to condemn the racist attacks against Bush in '00. But he obviously took the correct position in the '08 election and I don't see how you can call him a "Benedict Arnold" for that. Even if you disagree about him politically, nobody in his right mind would accuse him of that.

He is so Benedict Arnold he stinks of it. Its laughable because he thinks he's gotten away with it. Come 2012 he will learn otherwise. Nothing will give me greater pleasure than to see him go down. Yes, I am hating him. Deal with it!

Of course, you're not in your right mind so it is clear why you're doing it.

Another extraordinary compliment from you......two in one week. What's the occasion....oh right, T-giving.
