Same distinguished Prosecutor who was appointed to the federal Bench* by the sainted Ronald Reagan?* A lot of people where appointed to the federal bench by Ronald Reagan. At least a few of which he might not have appointed if he knew how they would act as judges. "Appointed to the federal bench by X", doesn't say "Is like X", or "agrees with X", or "would be endorsed by X now". It says very little about someone, positive, negative, or indifferent.
