Fears of a second Great Depression are understandable, but I have faith in our modern-day global economy, bailout or not.

The faith thing is better kept in church. People just gamed the capitalist system with CDSs larger than the world GDP. Brought down all the major banks and many of the lesser banks in the country. Not a time to be complacent.

Besides, Chapter 11 is a perfectly viable option that gives the car companies a real chance to recover and emerge stronger than before.

The consensus is they would never emerge from 11, that revenue would plummet.
