It's not easy trying to make a television series work well from a film, and visa versa, they usually fail... a couple of years ago a whole rash of films were produced by others that were based on last generation television, all of them lost money... it's always a bad idea... also, remakes of original films also mostly go bust... it only shows that some producers lack originality and try to make money off the original idea, it generally doesn't work... that's one good way to piss off investors, they may as well loss their money in these equity markets already...
