I can only imagine how upset she was. My kitties jump in the laundry basket after I take it out of the dryer. I always make sure there's a couple of towels in each load so they can spread out on top of them while I do the folding. They especially like to "help" change the beds. It probably takes 3 times as long because of the game we have to play.

Josh, when you say the cat was "gone," I assume you mean it didn't survive. I'm so sorry to hear this. Hope your wife does not feel too guilty or bad about this.
