The SRS could have some downside in it, but it represents the stronger side of the real estate market. For example, the indexe's single largest holding, Simon Properties, is still making a profit from operating its malls. This isn't some house purchased by a sub prime mortgage. At some point, in fact, at several points, folks will pick the bottom of the decline. When they are finally right, these sorts of stocks will be the first to bounce.

So, I still think real estate has problems, but I am looking for something uglier than SRS.
