Take the cool factor out of drugs and the problem disappears. If people need to do drugs, and some will have a safe place they can go. A lot of the messed up kids today are buying drugs cut with impurities. When you buy a bottle of booze you have a reasonable assurance what you're buying is what is stated on the label. Druggies have no such guarantee. The government could administer the sale and use of drugs and pocket a tidy profit and at the same time reduce drug use by probably 60%. The all or nothing approach won't work and is very expensive.
