"...If I thought this site got enough hits to make it worth my time, I'd start a new thread to discuss Brinker. If I did that, I would not allow lies about other posters. Can one start a thread and make it invitation only to post?..."

Well Hon I'm not sure how many hits you need to make it worth your time to start a new thread, but if you actually read what the administration wrote you would see that's NOT an option.

It was suggested that you may want to start a new MODERATED BOARD....but then you already tried that didn't you?

"Or, if there is a SI user who is really interested in engaging in civil, open dialog about Bob Brinker they can start a new moderated board." SI Admin

honey said: The administrator (Dave) certainly nailed it when he said if you want to discuss Bob Brinker, you need to find another board.

Where did he say that? As I remember it, he said something about "manage your expectations", or something to that effect.

If I thought this site got enough hits to make it worth my time, I'd start a new thread to discuss Brinker. If I did that, I would not allow lies about other posters. Can one start a thread and make it invitation only to post?

I don't know the answer to your question. But why would you want to start another thread? Don't you have enough to do? Or enough threads already? There are dozens, maybe hundreds of threads here already at SI. And from what I hear, you have at least two forums already in various places that you and/or your friends control. And you would be the moderator of this proposed new forum, and as such the sole arbiter of what is a "lie" and what isn't a lie? Hmmm. Now, why does that sound so much like more censorship?

No, not here. But you can start a private forum to discuss Brinker and kick off troublemakers or anyone you don't like. I have one here for Brinker discussion and it seems peaceful enough after I booted the troublemakers.

BTW, I was kicked off a Brinker forum just for being me... didn't even get an opportunity to insult someone after they insulted or lied about me. They said the rules were for butt kissers only so it was like that bot group that tossed me out after years of only reading what butt kissers said about Brinker. Oddly, NOT!.... some of the lying shills who claim to abhor censorship here don't seem bothered one bit about it. Obviously they support "censorship" if it quiets people they don't like. Myself, I don't call it censorship but "freedom of association." Brinker butt kissers should be allowed to congregate just like flies to smelly stuff if it makes them happy. THen again, I don't run around squawking about censorship like they do.
