Davis's "gold standard" is 50. I am glad to see you got it to the right range. Personally, if I were at 49 on a 4K a day dose, I would go to 6K a day. When I discussed it online with him he saw no objection to my 80. Even the conservative standard presently says there is no danger under 150. And they are guessing about that number being too high.

The Lab's "32" is really the "minimum" that is accepted on the D scale. I got my first D test out of my Urologist, who was friendly, and told me to get the results from my primary Doctor. When I asked him he told me I was "fine," and I had to press to get the number. He hasn't a clue about D. So I don't bother him about it.
