Kenneth was pulling your chain. He was VERY upset by a post of mine when I pointed out how bad the market has been since the election and he HAD to write that the market was reacting to conditions.

Now on the upswing for several days he says screw the market conditions and give credit to Obama...even Kenneth knows better...

What we have seen is a relief rally. By that I mean we have seen that Obama might be too smart to actually try to implement the stupid things he campaigned on. Seeing that hope is a good reason for the market to rally. My fear is the appointments to come - in particular - who will head the EPA and other such agencies. The threat of a Carbon Tax will have a different impact on the market. I suspect on Carbon his looney left base will not tolerate any moderation.

So - yes - I think the recent rally is due to Obama showing sanity. We will see if it lasts.

Perhaps more interesting will be the reaction of his base going forward.
