The terrorists seemed to hit multiple places at once, and seem to have been briefed and trained with some knowledge of what the Indian security response would be.

Note that this attack comes after the US election.

Back around 2002, India and Pakistan came close to a nuclear war. This caused the markets to keep dropping.

World's perception of India is shaped by the educated Indians who migrated to the US, UK, Canada since they have the English language skills and the Indian Institute of Technology prowess that pushed up high tech. But in fact it is a very backward country.

Much like Brazil exporting Embraer jets but being a backward country.
