You ask what any of this philosophical talk has to do with Obama. We have been governed by buffoons for 30 years. And the human species is at the transition period of its cultural evolution and entering a very dangerous period e.g. clashing of cultures and nuclear weapons. The country and world needed a philosopher king more than ever right now. And Obama is a philospher king. He works on self actualization. He studies social theory and he has a working knowledge across the spectrum of ideas and cultures. The world needed a great teacher. Clinton was a geat administrator, but Obama has all that, and is a great teacher. He talks about taking the office with humility. Compare that to Bush's bragadoccio about spending his "mandate of captial" or "bring em on". Can you even imagine Obama using a phrase like that. Our society has devolved into an anti intellectual morass and unless we pull out of tht our children will not live full lives! And I still think sentient beings in outer space sent the dude here to save our asses-lol. What are the chances of some guy 10 deviations from the mean becoming president. Especially after the president's we have been voting into office over the last 40 years.
