Hawk, the stock market is only a small slice of the financial markets- you must watch correlation and action to be able to pick on subtle changes – no serious market player will disclose its intention with bold moves in any financial instruments - so watch and learn the changes in correlation and action - barth is picking on it

Shorting activity was dropping noticeably even before the second post election panic/crash wave. A case could be made that this reflects the diminished presence of hedge funds. I personally think the hedge fund complex in general has gone the way of the dodo bird.
