It would be a mistake for them to merge - very different design culture aside kills competition.

The key is to let present management go and change the UAW contracts present and old.

The UAW contracts are one of the odd examples how socialism exist in the US and how badly it hurts free enterprise – management “went to work” and workers took the profits so nothing remained for R&D and reinvestment
