You are probably correct. One good gauge is the signal to noise ratio which is the "people marks" divided by "ignored by." I think any of the paid readers can see this but not sure if the lurkers can see it. Where this one battle is going on, I have reason to believe there is a very strong commercial reason to discredit what a few of us say about a snake oil salesman. They don't care about regulars but influencing lurkers. Since few really read this one forum as server hits to images we display there from time to time suggest, then it is a moot point. BTW, congratulations on your popularity and I'm glad you piss enough off to have a few ignores too! LOL

i agree... i've always had a very limited ignore list simply due to the fact the there were certain individuals that would 'follow me' just to agitate... so i would put them on ignore to avoid pm's from them....but for the most part, using ignore is more trouble than it's worth and i've seen people like lizzie tudor who are quick to point out the number of peoplemarks, which is useless imo, because the great majority of those peoplemarks were placed during the tech bull market and are pretty much useless now... i still have people peoplemarked from the late 90's who haven't posted in years only out of curiosity to see if they come back (as in holy cow, WTF? what brings you you here?) or if some message pops up that they've died.....<vbg>
