just finished the tributes to doris, aka 'tanta'
would recommend highly that all read and understand the difference just one person can make and the effect she had on those of us who benefited from her wit, knowledge, and wisdom...
CR...if you can create a compendium of her posts on your blog it would be highly appreciated, i read her frequently, but missed many of her posts and would love the opportunity to access her work....
deepest regards,

She was one of "us".
RIP Doris. Your insight and experience will be missed.

---------- No bailouts. Period. Unsupportable debt must be defaulted. Do it, get it out in the open, and get it over with. Yes, its going to suck, but its going to suck no matter what we do. We can either have it suck hard and short, or far worse and far longer. The more we screw around with this the worse it is going to be. 2008-11-30 20:13:54 Maple Posts: 1589 Incept: 2007-09-03

---------- A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves money from the public treasure. From that moment on the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most money from the public treasury, with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy followed by a dictatorship. 2008-11-30 20:15:30 Pika-steph Posts: 22206 Incept: 2007-09-10 A True American Patriot! Christchurch This is a very sad day...
Tanta and CR were the ones that got me started in trying to sort out the realities of the financial world. It was around july of last year that I ran across a reference to TF in the comments of CR (I think the comment was in response to a question from someone looking for an investment site that was on a par to CR, and the response noted that TF was a bears den...).
Tantas posts have been sorely missing as of late, and I was worried as to the probable cause.
Tanta Vive on in our minds...

Oklahoma Online Ya know, what really crushes me about this is that I was so hoping to read her thoughts on all the bailout crap of the last several months.
There aren't many 'net writers whose words I take as gospel, but she was one.
I hate when you go for months looking forward to something ... and then one day, in a split second, you realize you're never going to get it.
Selfish of me? Yeah, probably.
But she was that good.
