Been playing the balance transfer game for years, taking almost $100K at one time at 0% APY.

Got 30K @ 0% APY from Citi in September 2007 for $75 fee, and put it in a 1 year 6% CD - giving me about $1725 free. When the balance was due in September 2008, I paid it off with a 0% APY Wachovia balance transfer for a $75 fee, so I'm good until September 2009. Rolled the CD into 5%, so I'm only getting $1425 free money now.

Unfortunately, seeing less 0% offers and fee caps are rising or have been removed completely, which means "game over" Here's a fun reference: fatwallet.com
Apply for 20 cards at once and take all the balance transfer money offered.
