Narcissa Whitman is a peripheral character for me, but still relevant for my research.

FWIW, we have a local winery here, Whitman Cellars, that features a very nice red named "Narcissa." Narcissa won an 2006 award from Wine Spectator magazine.

Here's a bit of brief info I found.....Maybe it would give you the boost you mentioned....Is Michigan digitizing a whole project...This is the second time I've run into an old book being digitized by UofM...
