Susan Rice who was O's primary campaign spokesperson for foreign policy will be the UN ambassador. She's African American which offers an explanation why they plan to restore the position to cabinet level. Apparently Mr O and Ms Rice believe they can influence the UN to evolve into a competent organization - hopefuly another goal is to tamp down the vitriolic anti-Americanism currently rampant in the UN(although it's more likely they agree with at least 50% of it). We've followed this path with Bill Clinton and received the corrupt UN's Iraqi Oil for Food scam in return for the effort. baarswestside.blogspot.com
