FredOnEverything reckons the USA is going down the gurgler due to cultural transformation to ideologies opposite to what made it great. Big, bigger and bigger still government seems to be what both Democrats and Republicans are in favour of even if they don't think they are. Umpty million invading Mexicans will mean a shift to something more like Mexico which can hardly be a desirable shift for the average American. People make places they go to like the places they left. When I travel, I take my culture with me. Same for everyone. The descendants adopt an amalgam cultural hybrid rather than simply copying the place they go to. The oldest trick in the book and much better to have said aggro young men fighting outside the house than inside it where they'd break the furniture and cause big problems. <whip up war fever against some other place and give the unemployed 18-to-35 year olds jobs invading it> China has a LOT of said young males with high energy levels and lots of nationalistic aggression. Simply marching off over the tundra isn't much use these days in the age of mega weapons. But numbers are a good start. The Great Wall of China must have involved a LOT of said young males. "Hey you guys, we really need a dirty great wall up north to keep out the barbarians and to keep the rest of you in. You can have a bowl of rice each for every 10 metres your team builds." Mqurice
