Case doesn't look good for Russia at all! Given their track record. Oil an natural gas pipelines from Russia, rail roads connecting Western China to the Russian rail system so that Western China can trade with Russia, Europe, and others, can be revoked or repriced (holding the Chinese at a ransom) as the Russian get more assertive once their economic outlook improve.

This is only Russia.

Let's watch how Venezuela and Iran will react now that their noveaux wealth vanished in the past 4 months. Lessons are being taught.

here we go, brace brace bloomberg.com "Yuan Falls Most Since End of Currency Link Before Paulson Visit"

my target rate is at least 8.3 to usd, returning to pre-revaluation rate, reversing all of the revaluation, and 9:1 would not surprise me.

cheers, tj
