sargent--

dont make him go back and find the specific post. it was made within a day or so of the last cc, 3 months ago. i can tell you that he is correct, although i dont remember him being flustered when pressed on the thre contracts. if anything he seemed kind of irritated that he would be questioned after bell atlantic. he also said the announcements would be made by the carriers, NOT the company. all the little contracts (little, but still profitable. they will help) were announced by the company. i think GS still has lots to show us.

i think ALA is hot air. if they were getting the BIG contract, they woudl not have announced before bell canada. i mean come on, have you ever known a RBOC NOT to want to run the show?

good luck to all,
trey

Just re-read the 200 or so messages surrounding last quarter's earnings announcements and a few things are very evident:

1. This thread was much more upbeat and much more active before the previous conference call in July. The stock price (although currently caught in a downswing) is roughly equal or a little higher than the stock was immediately before/after the last conference call so things, despite the pessimism, aren't that bad.

2. After re-reading the past seven days posts, I feel like getting out of this stock completely. Everyone is so negative - you would think that the technology was banned from the US. Curly has it right - give it until the end of the year - if nothing happens, then take your tax loss (it will be one by then). I believe in contrary thinking - hopefully we will be able to make a case study out of this one (maybe Ken can write it for us).

3. I did not hear the last conference call but will tune in tomorrow. After re-reading notes and the ambiguity surrounding the last conference call, I am not confident some great announcement will be made tomorrow. Hope I am wrong.

Hanging on for dear life................................(how many days Curly).
