The incoming New Zealand government, which includes Rodney Hide, who I have been instrumental in getting elected in Epsom, which got Act act.org.nz into parliament, and he is the only member of parliament with a masters degree in economics and resource management [so I believe], has put the absurd Emissions Trading Scam back into review at his behest.

It is very satisfying to find one's efforts have actual useful outcomes. I have become accustomed to the feeling.

Perhaps Obama will see the light before he becomes bogged down in the absurd War on CO2. The War on Terror, the War on Drugs, not to mention the War on Capitalists are enough for him to go on with and all ridiculous.

CO2 is NOT a problem. CO2 is a good thing. It is NOT a pollutant. It is the foundation of life. It is plant food and the poor blighters have been increasingly starved of it for over half a billion years. Too much would be bad, but we can't get too much by digging up and burning coal, methane, bituminous goop and oil. All that carbon was once alive and the world was happy to have it alive.

Let's hope Obama sees the light. It will depend on who he chooses as his dogma provider because he won't be in a position to figure it out himself with all the other demands.

Hopefully this northern winter is viciously cold and people start to notice that ice is NOT as nice as warmth. Those who think ice is a great way of life can go to Alaska. The paltry number of Alaskans compared with Florida and California shows what most people prefer and that's with oil wealth handed out to residents, with tax free incomes in Alaska.
