I accept that. But that's not the point.

I love nuts. I don't eat them because, like the proverbial potato chip, I can't eat just one and they're loaded with calories. My diet is very low carb and has been for maybe a decade. But I will gain weight if I eat more than about 1200-1300 calories and have to get down to about 800 to lose. There's no room in that diet for nuts let alone unlimited quantities of nuts. I really resent cavalier, sweeping statements like that one from Dr. Davis. If he has something to substantiate it, I would be thrilled. I would become a nut nut. But, failing evidence, he should watch what he says.

Dr. Eades will have a new book out on losing those last difficult pounds this spring.
