"I knew about the community reinvestment act, i just expect quotes to come with a link."

You did? Then it doesn't make sense that you would have asked if I was quoting myself or if it was from some other source you wanted me to provide evidence of that source. If you knew about it and didn't dispute the information, as I originally expected, a link to the source would serve no purpose. So I didn't see the need to provide one. If you didn't have the information then a link is useful to check to see if I had fairly quoted it.

Your commentary is contradictory on this note. I will respond to the other points in a separate post.

You, with your piggy back buddy, I.Kant, have now provided numerous nasty replies to my post complaining that I have somehow not recognized Bush's part in this, In fact the complaint was that I was acting as a die hard Bush supporter. Which is wrong and a very poor excuse for you to be unjustly bashing me over this issue.

YOU: "It's up to those in charge to keep a watchful eye. Bush ..."

OK: In the post you seem to want to challenge I recognized Bush and agreed with your complaint about his administration on three levels.

First I simply declared that you were Right. I said in one sentence at the start,

"Right."

Second I recognized his general failure to respond.

"The Bush Administration should have done more to stop the devastation to our economy ..."

Third I stated specifically that he should have done something about bad loans.

"Bush was hesitant to intervene in the affairs of the housing market, but he should have intervened..."
