I agree about scapegoating. But we have to figure out what went wrong to make it right.

Was the repeal of Glass Steagall really a culprit? I think it was. But there are those who would argue otherwise (Phil Graham for example).

What about Bush's Laissez-faire damn the regulators approach? Again i'd say that's another big piece of the puzzle. Others (Phil Graham again?) would disagree.

Capitalism is based on materialism and greed. They are the engines of our economy. It's the job of a strong central government to reign in the inevitable excesses of such a system. (Again, some would disagree.)

It's not about blame for blame's sake. It's about the philosophy of governance, among other things.

BTW, you occasionally do a pretty good job of taking on the lunacy of posters like AS, why is it you're silent when someone like Longshort says Obama is a Muslim who stole the election? Or have i missed your condemnations?
