I have to pretty much agree with the writer of the article. The further we get into the bailout the worse it looks. I was really on the fence about it when they did it because I really didn't know what the consequences of NOT doing it would be. But I was also concerned about them throwing money at the problem, which is what they inexplicably did with Katrina.

I don't think there is anything we, the American people, could have done to stop it. It was going to happen no matter who complained about it. Personally, I think it is a bigger threat to Bush's legacy than anything that has happened over the last 8 years.

It is interesting to me that on the 15 acres adjacent to my home builders began (last summer) building 60 houses. No lie. 1/4 acre each, listed between 150 and 200K. These guys are still building. Four or five at a time, but even more amazing, they're selling the hell out of them.
