I picked up an LP-45-78 to digital player from Sharper Image about a year ago. It plugs directly into the USB port, has a little software package to install and the recordings go directly into a file. What surprised me is that it recognizes the music playing and automatically labels the file. It even recognized the Pozo Seco Singers. The only thing is that the records are still analog so you have to listen to the whole song in real time. LOL

I wonder if one of those self contained gadgets could be rented somewhere? What's it called?
