Re: Crash in PIGS - maybe Italy gets through because -
1) Firms have been cheating on taxes and setting up offshore deals for years 2) Close proximity to Switzerland 3) Like Argentina, Italy has had a shaky banking system for so long, everyone already learned to adapt, with precious metal, offshore assets, etc. This probably only applies to Northern Italy.

Reading the recent Economist section on Spain, they may not have the end of the world, but have depended on housing construction. They will be hit hard.

Portugal has a small population, which in some ways is still close to the land.

For all these countries, tourism is big earner, and that will tend to be down.

Yes, it's tough all over. Greece in particular has been hit hard by the collapse of shipping -- Baltic Dry Index down 90%.

China is not doing too well either. Are your Canadian and T&T passports ready, in view of Cultural Revolution II :-)
