As a group, they are persistent in their elitist claims to know everything and to know better than anyone, yet, every time they're caught, they were always somehow *duped.* The *incurious* Bush, who could barely read to children about a goat, somehow fooled them all about Iraq. Charlie Rangel, who should know more about the IRS Code than most people in Congress, didn't understand that he had to pay taxes on foreign income, that one can only have a single domicile at a time, and that rent control ordinances apply to him. And now Eric Holder was somehow suckered into going to bat for Marc Rich. I don't know about anyone else, but I certainly would not put my reputation on the line to assist some slimebag in obtaining a Presidential pardon unless I was confident that there was a valid reason to do so. That the Democrats have a wholly different ethical code is evident in the way they never take responsibility for anything. The Left, as a group, has criticized Bush for years because he would not back down from the positions he took on Iraq. Yet, when the Dems fail, as they did miserably wrt the CRA and oversight of Fannie/Freddie, none admitted to their share of the blame. Funny that a Senator playing footsie in a public restroom is goaded, prodded, and nearly resigns, while the Franks and Dodds of the world play footsie with Freddie/Fannie lobbyists and keep their jobs, and people like Holder carry water for Marc Rich and get appointed to oversee the law of the land. We're down the rabbit hole yet again.
