Have your kids think of things to talk to her about....i.e. have them ask her what kinds of things she was doing when she was their current age..... or what did it smell like on a spring day when she was in 2nd grade.....(don't laugh at this one....I've seen that work in an entire room of men and women of all ages from 18 to over 80)....great topic for a conversation starter.... If your kids have pets and like them, have them ask her if she had pets and what kinds were they? Lots of things to talk about beside the weather, if they think about it....<gg>
