I'm not disagreeing with that. I just think it's dishonest to claim that UAW employees are dragging home the ridiculous compensation touted by the conservatives, and parroted by the corporate media. They share some blame, but hardly all.

Blame Henry Ford. He started out not paying his employees much, but he wasn't selling as many cars as he thought he could. Cars were expensive - even Model T's. He had an idea. If he paid his employees more, they could AFFORD to buy the cars they built. A cornerstone of the great American middle class.

I really hope we figure some future that doesn't have such huge disparities in income between economic classes. America will be a much better place if we do.
