you say the 'only applicants' after 9/11 were illegals? rubbish This is what I said, bold added for your sake. The only applicants (prior* to the 9/11 crackdown) were illegals*

and my logic is impeccable our business success is a result...we didn't get there with 'badly flawed logic' take your badly flawed logic mandated higher minimum wage to it's conclusion....if $10/hr. is good, why not $20? you know the answer and so does everyone else....you will drive business away with the resultant job losses either here to more business friendly states or overseas The state of California has never made a big effort to rid itself of illegals and for good reason, they would lose a lot of cheap labor. The only time I hear Californians seriously complain about illegals is during recessions, and even then, they don't do much about it. They can't have Jose around to build that backyard fence at half the normal cost and then want him to leave when he breaks a leg or his wife gets pregnant. They can't have it both ways as much as Californians would like it. And I believe that CA's dependency on illegal labor has created a false economy that would crater if all the illegals were to leave.........at least that's true of S. California. I am not sure N. CA is as dependent.
