What kind of pisses me off is that such a small group of people, using impeccable logic in pursuit of their own business success, have given away our community to a different culture, all without the input of the other 95% of the citizens of this community.

The only difference between your town and S. CA is that most people in S. CA take advantage of illegals. They stand in front of Home Depots and paint stores in throngs and people come by and pick them up for day jobs.

well i don't do business in an ag community and my impeccable logic prohibits me from hiring non english speaking technologically challenged illegals, not to mention my concern for the consequences of breaking the law.....got illegal worker raids and fines and possible jail time?

even without all of that, doing so would would cause a catastrophic loss of business, as unqualified, language challenged but cheap workers tend to have that effect.<g>

it's too bad you seem to think that throwing money at the education problem in your state caused by the influx of illegals and voting down the bond issues is the root of your overcrowding and deteriorating schools....your voters are just saying no to subsidizing the nontaxpaying users of your educational infrastructure....perhaps they're worried 'if you build it just more illegals will come' (amnesty)

just look to CA, where some of the top $$$ per student are being paid with disastrous results.....

why do you think that is?

so maybe the oregonians are using some impeccable logic after all... and are allocating those funds to the private education of their kids instead of leaving it up to the state which seems to be turning a blind eye to illegals by granting amnesty?
