you need to visit other parts of California. Its a huge state. Boxer, Pelosi and Feinstein are all from up here. Cheap labor is not any kind of motivator. SF is not a cheap labor town.

i do agree that CA has been 'freeriding' on cheap illegal labor, but it appears to me that the costs of providing services for that cheap labor has reached it's limit

The problem is that many of the leaders in S. CA are Latino. Not only do they encourage illegal [and legal] migration to S. CA but they titillate their crowds with talk of Aztlan and returning CA, AZ and NM back to Mexico. S. CA is pretty much out of control in many ways.

BTW how did you come up with the tag, Mulholland Drive, if you're not from S. CA?
