There is a "forest and trees" analogy to the cycles of products like semiconductors and many other products as well. I don't have specific data points ("trees") for you but extrapolating the "forest" economic cycle behavior for semi's will predict another upcycle to compete the roughly 4ish year cycle of growth and overgrowth. The last high was achieved around 9/95 with the low being the summer of 1996. Not all stocks act in concert nor participate as fully but one "tree" worth mentioning is Micron's SRAM suit/shenanigans that will help to firm if not raise prices.

History never repeats exactly but hopefully this will happn sooner rather than later. As far as CY chances: I am optimistic as I have shares and have observed a profitable operation since 1995 in one of the roughest SRAM market.
