Definitely more shoes to drop. But the problem with gas prices is that they still do not reflect the true cost to the American consumer. If the government would impost taxes on gas to pay for the tax subsidies we give oil drillers or pay for the military security apparatus employed in wars for oil and security for oil company assets, then gas prices would probably double. Then alternatives would get a level playing field and would be more cost competitive. Therein lies the problem.
