Obama has always been a pragmatist. He learned early how to play the cards needed and win elections. He's good at it. He was never radical....but it suited him to portray himself as more "left" than he probably was. Now it suits him to bring in centrists and even center-right advisors...

He is much smarter politically than the howling republicans portrayed him during the campaign. He has the right flanked now, and they have no place to turn in opposition. President Bush, with the agreement on Iraq, has provided Obama with a wonderful gift to allow him to lean whatever direction he wishes on that issue over the next two years...

Same with the economy...a free pass on spending based on the crisis. stimulus for all!

My guess is that you are WAY, way too eary to make that kind of assessment.

Wait two or three years... I feel *confident* that GOBS of 'change' from the Bush paradigms will be obvious to all. <g>
