The former president told CNN in an interview aired Wednesday from Hong Kong his wife was "shocked" when she learned by reading newspaper articles that she was President-elect Barack Obama's likely choice for the nation's top diplomatic post.

Translation: The leakers weren't Clintonistas, they were Obamanians. (And he did not have sexual relations with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky.)

I can confirm for the thread from a personal close connection who spoke to Governor Patterson himself while I was in his office a few days ago that Patterson asked Bill Clinton to take his wife's seat and he declined.
