Doesn't look like any negative effect yet... Ontario looking bleak due to autos.. Auto sector has a much greater affect on Canada %wise than in the US..

Not really hearing anything negative yet in the news either for the west..
In October, employment increased in Alberta, where the unemployment rate remained the lowest in the country, at 3.7%. There was little employment change in the other provinces.

Nothing is showing up in the stats yet, but there's anecdotal evidence that things are starting to change. Was talking to guys in the construction industry a few days ago, who said homebuilding has fallen off a cliff, and that trades are returning their phone calls the same day -- that hasn't happened for years. OTOH the staff shortage in retail is just as apparent as it was a year ago.
