Just for the record, I'll make far more money off of a conversion to single payer than I ever will by retaining the current system. Most of my time today (and therefore, my earnings from my medical systems businesses) comes from dealing with problems that are particular to Medicare and state Medicaids. If they go to single payer, we'll spend more time dealing with these totally f*cked up systems and thus earn more money from our customers. I do not support single government payer because I'm intimately familiar with the current government payer mess. You support it because you're ignorant of the situation, and because you're a socialist.
