"Wasteful spending" is your editorial judgement. On one side you have a one time $35B loan that may save us from a depression (and which could cost cost us more if we don't make it). On the other you have $37B pure spending per year for 27 years. You admit the latter is wasteful. Which is more wasteful?

I know... moral relativism or something.
