Wow, Walmart same store sales were actually up over 3% for November. CNBC was saying awhile ago that they were expecting sales to be down, but when the report came out the expectation was quoted as being up.

Costco's sales may have been impacted by the falling price of gas as the local Costco's here always have long lines to buy gas. With gas down 20-40% in price that would noticeably impact overall sales.

Costco November same-store sales fell 5%, total down 3%

Not bad when you consider all the hoopla about the stock market.
