"Conclusion , pay me now or pay me later even more."

and that was the lesson of Lehman Brothers. We will never know if the downhill spiral we are in would have happened or been so severe if Lehman wasnt allowed to fail for the moral hazard reason. Tom Friedman wrote in one of his recent opeds that fairness is off the table now--its survival thats at stake. Goes for banking, housing, autos.

I as a tax payer would rather shed out those funds for a Ford with a future rather than for a future without a future.

Only the chapter 11 opens the possibility for a Ford with a Future.

Rich, > Conclusion , pay me now or pay me later even more.

Seems like with the bailout, it's going to be "Pay me now AND pay me later even more."

Profits are NOT just around the corner for these guys. Even the amounts that the Big Three are asking for isn't going to last very long. Then what? Bail them out again? With who's money?
